RENT INCREASE
Please note, the average rent for tenants has increased by 4.9% per week and it will be effective from April 1 2015. The amount is calculated across all rented properties and is an average.
If you are currently receiving Housing Benefit, the housing benefit service will automatically amend your Housing Benefit to reflect the new rent charge and will send you a letter stating how much Housing Benefit you will receive.
If you pay your rent by Direct Debit the payment will be adjusted automatically according to the payment date. If you pay by Standing Order then you will need to contact your bank in order to increase thee level of payments to cover the increase in your rent.
